"I Love Television!"

I never truly understood why girls got hot for Tony Soprano until he send Dr. Melfi that huge Dr. Hauschka basket the other week. Oh, man.

Hot.

Judging from the Wonderfalls/Wonder Killing thread, some people seem to have gotten in their heads that I don't like television or anything, for that matter. This is odd, as I think I rave about all kinds of things over here, but fine. You want one new television show that I think never misses a step? Arrested Development. This show is so funny. If you're not watching it, you are truly missing out on smart, quick, multi-layered comedy.

I feel like the last person on earth telling you that the show is good, but if it makes one more person watch it and save the show from getting cancelled, then it'll be worth looking like I'm stating the obvious.

A Pamlea By Any Other Name...

If you're looking for a signed copy of my book, my old stomping ground Katy Budget Books is selling a copy with the much-coveted "Pamlea Ribon" spine.

New Entry

Babbling about writing again.

dan notes that there are too many people in the world

Y'all, there are too many people in the world. I'm not sure if the following is supposed to make me feel happy or sad, but I've applied for a job that is literally the utterly perfect match with my skillset. Don't ask me what my skillset is. Secretly, I don't have one. I'm lucky enough to have one inside track at the company, but this is the response I just got when I pestered for further information.
You're grossly overestimating the efficiency of the hiring process here. :-) They've got something like 300 candidates for each spot so just weeding through the resumes is going to take awhile. In other words, no news yet.
I choose to take this as good news, and a reminder to all that when you send in a job application and never hear back, it's really nothing personal.

In the meantime, I shall wander the streets wearing a sandwich board sign that reads, "Will work for positive reinforcement."

Hee.

AB is the only friend I have who'd let me get away with that joke. I laughed all the way to the Post Office.

Last Wonderfalls Recap Up

Wonder Killer Victorious! -- Fox cancelled this show on the weekend of this recapper's birthday. We swear one had nothing to do with the other. At least it goes out on top, kind of, with an episode that doesn't entirely suck. Jaye is dragged kicking and screaming to her high-school reunion, in order to help a woman she hates, while avoiding her father, whom she almost killed with the car. Sharon finds out she's dating a newbie lesbian. This show's HoYay heavy, and freshly killed.

Read the recaps Tim Minear called "Boring-ass"!

Sorry, fishies.

I like Goldfish crackers, but now that they've added little smiles on each one, I feel really guilty when I eat them.

dan once had a blog

Hi. I used to work here. I was pretty then. It's not my fault. It's the blogs that got small. But I'm back. Here's what's changed since last we checked in:

*Nothing.

Actually, I have a weird smell coming from my dishwasher. I put cleaning fluids and powders and potions in it every day in the service of cleaning. How do I actually clean the dishwasher? It would be like having a machine that disinfects soap. Please help.

I have a feeling the words "white" and "vinegar" are about to play a significant role in the next couple of posts. Prove me wrong, people.
